A sad day in Pittsburgh

I am up in Pittsburgh for work. The day I flew in, I got into my rental car, turned on the radio and here is what I heard: Myron Cope has died. This is a sad day for Pittsburgh and Steeler Nation.

Myron was the voice of the Steelers forever, and also the inventor of the Terrible Towel. The whole city is in mourning. Not the kind of news I wanted to hear when I got to town.

To top it off, I got sick while I was up here and am trying not to die myself. I fly home Monday afternoon.

Chris – I can’t believe you came to Pittsburgh and didn’t call us or the boys. Next time you’re in town, we’d love to see you! Beth

This past time when I was up there, I was either working or laying in the hotel bed with a 102 degree fever. It was miserable.

Good news though, I’m coming back up in a few weeks :)

    Hey, Chris

Been a while since I checked in on you, and I see big things have happened! Congratulations to you and Meg on the start of your clan!

Also, I wanted you to check this out: http://www.serioussportsnewsnetwork.com/2008/04/tour-de-france-to-have-juicer-and-non-juicer-fields.html

Let me know when you’ll be in Pittsburgh this summer, maybe we can get together.

What’s up Doug! Yeah I will be in Pittsburgh quite a bit this summer. We will have to get together. Despite all the troubles you know that I will still be watching cycling again this year.

I am getting ready for a two week tour of duty in China first. I’ll be posting more about that in the next day or so but I leave Thursday. Should be interesting.
