Rabobank did what I hoped they would do. They yanked Rasmussen from the Tour and fired him. This is even bigger than Vino’s failed drug test. I see it going like this: There will be riders who are happy with the way the druggies are being handled, and then there are riders (and team directors) who will bitch and moan and protest. This second group will be highly suspect to me.
My new favorite? David Millar. Sure he was busted for doping a while back, but he’s been clean ever since and has become a spokesman for clean cycling. Good for him, and everyone else on his side.

the other contending riders’ comments kind of summed it up. leader or not they realize this reflects poorly on a sport they have dedicated very much to. they realize that john doe watching is now going to assume every rider on the road is only able to do what he does b/c of some illegal action which trivializes the good riders’ dedication to something they love.
this is why i love masturbation. they tried to give it a bad name with all the hairy palm scare tactics, but that proved to be vapid. cheers to self exploration!!
