OK, I went to the new Sunshine Cycles in downtown Watkinsville after work the other day to get some shit for the bike, and I walked into a pretty sweet situation. The owner, Jimmy, was there and was having a big problem with his computer. The hard drive crashed and he was one step away from shipping it to dell, and losing all of his shop info. Long story short, I fixed it in 15 minutes and saved him a shitload of extra work. He was stoked, and I was stoked. He gave me a break on the junk I came in there to buy and spent a lot of time making sure I had the right stuff.
I bought a set of fenders for the bike so I won’t get “the stripe” when I ride in the rain. Also an LED taillight and headlight set. Plus the requisite jersey and shorts. I also picked out the rack and bags I’m gonna get soon so I can carry my laptop.
OK, the point is, I have plenty of gear and motivation. Time to shut the hell up and get on the bike. This saturday is going to be bike riding day for Chris. I have my first route all planned. It’s only an 8 mile ride, perfect for getting my bike legs back.
Tomorrow the furniture we bought from Rooms To Go is going to be delivered. I’ll be glad to sleep in my own bedroom again. We’ve been sleeping in the guest room because Meghan wanted all the furniture moved out of our room so we could paint it. Which we did. So now everything is ready.
Speaking of ready, I’m ready for tomorrow to come and go. I need a damn break. It’s been a busy ass week at work. My boss was gone all week on vacation, and a lot of things were going on at the office, so it was pretty stressful. I’m tired. So I’m going to bed now.
