Hizzo

So we moved into our house last weekend. This house rocks. I love living somewhere where you have to use your high beams to get there. We just got cable today, which is why I’ve been so long in posting. Living without TV and internet access can be challenging, but I was so damn busy I hardly noticed.

I’m going to try to get this site fixed so I can post some images. I want to show the world my bad ass pad.

Winter is coming and we have no time to waste

I love the time of year right in between fall and winter. For one thing I have the most fucked up dreams this time of year. You know the ones I’m talking about, that are so vivid and bizarre but you always forget them by lunchtime. I can count on them every night for two weeks when it starts getting cold.

I miss the snow. The one thing I loved about living in Erie was the weather. The summers there were warm but not too hot. The winters were amazingly cold. Nothing like waking up and finding two or three feet of snow on the ground. Won’t be getting any of that here in Athens. Its a shame that I can’t have the best of both worlds.

Now my brother is living up north. He’ll get to have the snow. But NYC doesn’t really get much, unless they have a freak ass blizzard like last year. Hopefully if they do he can take some pictures or something.

Speaking of pictures, I need to design a section of this site that I can post pictures and link to them. I’m not much of a web designer so it’ll take me a while to figure out how I want to do it, but it’s in the pipeline. I have a kickass digital camera that’s going to waste right now.

Word

Yeah I’m back. Every now and then life just takes over and I can’t find the time, energy, inclination, motivation or what-have-you to post to this site, or call my relatives, or anything. Damn. I’ve been busting my hump to get ready to move in to my new house. So it’s been crazy. Let me just sum up and say that when they say that moving into a new place is one of the most stressful things you can do, they were not fucking around.

So if you’re still hanging with me, I appreciate it. I’ll try to post on a more frequent basis.

So Bush won the election. I’m pretty happy about that. I did vote for him after all. My issue was with Kerry. I just felt that his presence in the White House would undermine my safety. If terrorists are wishing Kerry would get elected so that they could have some breathing room, that indicates to me that Bush is succeeding at getting to them, and he should continue to do so. I had no confidence that Kerry would do that. I felt that he put our country’s popularity with the UN ahead of our security. I feel that our national interests should come first. If result of that is being less liked by other nations, that’s ok with me. after all, they don’t have our interests first and foremost. They have their own.

It was too bad that Kerry couldn’t have had a stronger stance on security issues. I’m not a fan of W’s growth of government or his right wing morality. I would have been happy to vote for someone else to logjam our government a little, but not Kerry.

More shit later.
